World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to increase the gear score of an item to 700 and add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

item upgrader can be upp'd to increase their stats (like a perfectly rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a unit. This bonus could exceed the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of their base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative effects. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their performance. This can increase the defense base of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats it will gain upon upgrading in addition to their respective values. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circling arrows in the item menu. This will roll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poisons and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to get through difficult terrains. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you will get from each point of health you possess, so it's important to improve your armor as much as you can.
To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and completed the corresponding fountain and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a decent-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to survive a full on raid with a few friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear by the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, give an immediate effect. There are five different types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. Additionally the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in the chest of the Alchemist. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that allows you to select the potions that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
When a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you take it out again or break the bottle in the container it is kept. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. For example splash potions now have a duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display). The potion table can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can now be used in both Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion in an empty cauldron. This will draw out the liquid, and then refill the bottle.
In addition, there are simmering potions that are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The potion table has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a function but isn't essential such as a Thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded, can be exchanged at any time without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as the older one, and include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded before their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't replace in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
After item upgrading become unusable trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than purchasing an entirely new trinket.
